This Wrap Gets the Job Done!

Miles on Vatanai Solsbury Size 4
This post will be dedicated to this wonderful wrap, Solsbury. This wrap is made by the company Vatanai, which is based in the Czech Republic. This company has been made famous by one exclusive wrap that they make, called Pamir. Pamir's sell only at auction now and go for somewhere in the range of 800-1500 dollars, they are handwoven masterpieces. But this doesn't mean that you can't get bang for your buck from this company. If you are not seeking out a piece of the moon to wrap with and are settling for some earthly object, Vatanai makes some amazing machine woven wraps.

Solsbury, which I am going to explain in more detail, is a colourway in a certain pattern. That means that if yellow and brown aren't your thing, there are also other options. There is Orkney which is a lovely two-toned blue or Chartres which is gold and bluey. There are also a few more, so if you are not in love with the look, but like the sounds of this wrap, you have options!

This wrap is not one that you will have to shell out your kidney for, they sell on the swaps for around $120USD (with shipping in the US, us in Canada have to pay more) for a size 6. So this wrap is completely accessible.

Solsbury is 100% cotton and wonderfully smooth to the touch. It probably is my favourite to feel! When broken in, which is all I have experienced, this wrap is perfect for a beginner and a pro alike.

For me, this wrap has some of the best qualities. When I am wrapping Miles I love to have a wrap that moulds to us. Each pass of a carry really glides with this wrap and getting those passes nice and tight is really very easy! There is the perfect amount of cush for my shoulders, because it is not too thick and not too thin. And there is such a lovely bounce, that when I am out for a walk I can barely feel Miles.

Personally, I would definitely recommend this wrap to anyone, especially new wrappers; because this wrap is cheap (cheaper than some Baby Bjorns or Ergobaby Carriers), but it is also a quality wrap. Being new to wrapping, dropping hundreds of dollars on something you don't even know if you will like isn't probably something you want to do. So, this wrap (and many others) is a great option. Personally, I have some more expensive wraps and I keep coming back to this one, because it truly is a workhorse and gets the job done!
